The president of the National Telecommunications Agency (Anatel), Leonardo de Morais, participated this Monday (8/17), in a virtual meeting with the president of the United States Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Ajit Pai.
On the schedule, subjects of common interest were discussed, such as a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing. The objective is to improve the exchange of information and fair regulatory practices between the two institutions in the most diverse areas, such as the allocation of spectrum to meet the growing demands for new services and technologies and a mutual recognition agreement for certification and approval of telecommunications equipment. The perspectives related to the deployment of 5G in both countries were also addressed.
